This site is dedicated to the family of John and Jane Colville Fleming, who came to Washington, County, Ohio, from Campbeltown, Kintyre, Scotland, in September, 1821 with their numerous family..
     But it is not intended to be merely a genealogical site.  It is designed to include a history of the family and its journey to America, the history oft he Scotland they left, the involvement of members of the family in the history of the nation they came to be a part of, and of the Scottish community they helped to form in Western Washington County, Ohio, It is also designed to be a Newsletter for the family, reporting who was born, who got married, and who died, and news of the annual Fleming Family Reuion.

PART FIVE, THE CIVIL WAR LETTERS   These letters were written to John Wesley Morris, who was not a family member, but who married into the family, so his descendants are.  Most of the letters were written by family members.
